1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Comparotor platform — including the evaluation API, submission interface, leaderboard, and PDF report services — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are acting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Service description
Comparotor provides neutral, reproducible benchmarking for AI surrogate models in rotating machinery applications. The core services are: an evaluation API that scores submitted model artefacts against curated test sets; a public leaderboard ranking models by benchmark performance; and PDF performance reports suitable for use in vendor assessment and procurement processes.
3. Permitted use
You may submit models that you own or hold sufficient rights to benchmark. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or reconstruct the private test sets through repeated submissions or systematic variation of inputs. You must not attempt to identify, infer, or access other users' private submissions or scores. Automated scraping of the leaderboard beyond reasonable API use is prohibited.
4. Intellectual property
You retain all intellectual property rights in the model artefacts you submit. Benchmark scores, methodology, test-set curation, and report formats are the intellectual property of Comparotor Ltd. Public leaderboard data — submission names, scores, and associated metadata — may be freely cited in academic publications and commercial materials with attribution to Comparotor.
5. Payment terms
Pro and Enterprise subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. No refunds are issued for partial months. Annual plans that are cancelled after the first 30 days are refunded on a pro-rata basis for the remaining whole months, less any applicable processing fees. All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT.
6. Confidentiality
Private submissions — those not designated for the public leaderboard — remain confidential and are not shared with any third party. Comparotor staff may access submission logs and run outputs for the purposes of debugging, dispute resolution, or platform integrity. Where practicable, we will notify you before accessing submission-level data.
7. Warranties
The benchmark is provided “as-is.” Scores are indicative of model performance on the Comparotor test suite and do not constitute certification of fitness for any specific engineering application, design workflow, or procurement purpose. Comparotor makes no warranty that benchmark scores will predict real-world performance under conditions outside the test-set distribution.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Comparotor's aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these terms is capped at the total fees paid by you in the three calendar months preceding the claim. In no event will Comparotor be liable for loss of profit, loss of data, or any indirect, special, or consequential damages, even if advised of the possibility.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate a subscription with 30 days' written notice. Comparotor may suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice in the event of a material breach of these terms, including any attempt to compromise the integrity of the test sets or the platform.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
Comparotor will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes to these terms, delivered by email to the address associated with your account or posted prominently on the platform. Continued use after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
