What data we collect
- Account data
- Your name and email address, collected when you sign in via Clerk authentication. We use this to identify your account and send you run notifications and product updates.
- Submission metadata
- Model name, file format (ONNX or Docker), submission timestamps, and the run ID associated with each evaluation. This metadata is used to operate the benchmark pipeline and populate your submission history.
- Usage data
- Page views and API call counts, collected via privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising analytics. Individual-level event data is not sold or shared.
- Billing data
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never store card numbers, CVV codes, or full payment instrument details. We retain Stripe customer IDs and invoice records to manage subscriptions and resolve billing queries.
How we use it
We use your personal data for the following purposes only:
- —Run benchmark evaluations against submitted model artefacts.
- —Send run completion notifications to the email address on your account.
- —Send product updates and announcements — only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- —Generate public leaderboard entries for submissions you have marked as public. Public entries contain benchmark scores only — never artefact data.
Legal basis (GDPR)
- Contract performance
- Processing your account data, submission metadata, and billing information is necessary to deliver the benchmark service you have subscribed to.
- Legitimate interest
- We use aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how the product is being used and to improve it. This does not involve selling data or profiling individuals.
- Consent
- We only send marketing emails and product announcements where you have explicitly opted in. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Data retention
- Account data
- Retained while your account is active, plus 30 days after account closure. After 30 days, your name and email are deleted from our systems.
- Submission artefacts
- Retained for 24 months from the submission date. See our Security & Model IP page for full details on artefact retention and deletion.
- Analytics data
- Retained on a 12-month rolling basis. Data older than 12 months is automatically purged.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are based in the UK or EU, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Cookies
We use session cookies for authentication, set by Clerk. These cookies are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and are not used for tracking or advertising purposes.
We do not use any third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our analytics are privacy-respecting and do not involve persistent cross-site identifiers.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Minor clarifications or corrections may be made without notice.
Continuing to use Comparotor after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
